I love KDE 3.5x

KDE
Description:

I love multiple wallpaper on multiple desktop, with scroll button.
I love Quicklauncher, and all the quick drag and drop functions.
I love superkaramba with all the simple functions.
I have a top computer but kde4 is so slow.... The menu is so unperspicuity.
Kde4 have many spectacular visual effect, but for what?
During work, after 10 min, I shot down all effect, since too slow, and too embarrassing (or too ugly).
I love all the Ctrl+scroll functions,on kde3.5, and all the clocks....

Résumé: not everyone have a hyperspace computer, and new distros, with kde, must
have alternative for kde3.5 AND kde4.

Debian Lenny is way old news, its already time for squeeze to be moved to stable. Newer kernels and other unimportant upgrades dont impress me much when you are still stuck using old debian stable pkgs. Not much of a kanotix fan.

Because he is the (only) hero who know how Debian net install works. No, he is one of the few people here who are not idiots. Wait! Ehem, no, he is GOD because he does not use Ubuntu but he have a gun! Or because he is soooo cool. He still said no one that it is totally out to be cool. But he is really funny in any case. ;)

I'm looking forward to his further spiritual outpourings.

Whats wrong with knowing how to use the debian netinst? Something wrong with owning guns? Its my right. How wonderful for me that I live in a country where its perfectly legal :) I like my gun. And although Ive never claimed to be cooler than anyone, thank you for noticing that I am very cool indeed :)

Also, still wondering what anything LaGaDesk posted has to do with this group? Did I offend another ubuntu user? LOL OOOPS. Seriously, grow up. I dont see any pictures of you here. Atleast I use a real picture of myself, not an idiotic looking icon.

Thank you for your insightful answers! For my part: I'm glad to live in a country where the weapon of the people the brain is.

For me it's definitely highest time to leave open desktop. No idiot endure so much level. Not more to say. ;)

debian netinstall isn't hard at all, really. i've done it. it's a little more complex than some installers, but it's a lot easier then arch.

I don't get all the nonesense. Its childish and ridiculous to actually fight online. Just end it please.

As for KDE 3.5.10 ruling, I agree. I have multiple, twin test machines running side by side to do a comparison of kde4 and the last kde3. KDE 3 is far more productive, adaptable, and far less confusing to the new user (I test stuff on noobie volunteers switching from MS windows). So far, out of 80 test vol, only 3 preferred KDE4 (because "it was more like windows").

 Any KDE3 Only Distros?

by BorgQueen on: Aug 30 2010

I'm looking to replace my current kde only distro, because it seems the main devel and founder just disappeared. I'm sick of waiting and I can't take over the project myself (I'm just a hardware tester and usability tester).

I'm looking for a kde3 only distro that doesn't plan to update to kde4. Does anyone know of one?

If there's a devel out there looking to start such a distro, I have about 40 test machines available to test the distro, plus about 40 to 45 users who will road test the distro in a RW environment.
