Successful Linux Japan Symposium (picture)

Successful Linux Japan Symposium (picture)

Successful Japan symposium and a picture you never thought possible!

Successful Linux Japan Symposium (picture)

If some of you didn't knew yet, Linux is a tremendous success in a large list of countries placed in Asia and Latin America. Some of them already have GNU/Linux as official OS for their governments as some countries in Europe.

After Microsoft administrative heads attempted to boycott the Linux Japan Symposium by launching the controverted Windows 7 the same day, Linus Torvalds gave a middle finger to the initiative in his own peculiar way.

A picture for the prosperity if you agree with me!

The symposium was a big success as most participants tell us. Linux is conquering natural places in Industry, embedded hardware and what not. Windows 7, the latest bells and whistles from MS, has yet to prove usability beyond its novel name.

New laptops are launched this days with this OS whilst Linux community keeps growing in places that the failure of Windows Vista opened besides its own market niches.

For the eager Linux zealots, we post further readings and more pictures of the event...

Or they wanted to use it for fuel to fire. That works too.

Forever live, Linux. You are now seen as a threat to Microsoft.

I have been using Ubuntu for about 3 years. My son told me to try Mint. I like it. The main reason I like it so far is it doesn't just stop because there are updates like Ubuntu. I don't know how many times I have been working away and the computer just stopped because the update tab demanded to be dealt with RIGHT NOW! I am liking Mint mor and more every day. But I must be stupid cause I cannot figure out what KDE is apposed to Gnome, or API or any of these other initials.
I wish Mint could be used with two monitors like Ubuntu can. I only use Mint on my laptop cause my PC has two screens.

We are all getting dumber as time marches on.
